Even in my dreams, I didn’t think that I would be providing aspiring models a platform to
showcase their talents, but life can surprise you. When I graduated from college, I had three
very lucrative career choices in front of me, I chose to take on a path that was less travelled
and made my way into the ever rewarding and colourful industry of fashion. God has been
kind and today I can proudly say that RJ's Models, a product of my hard work and dedication
is one of India’s leading model management agencies.
I was a bright student and I fared well all through school and college. In my spare time I
assisted my father with the family business and it was assumed that I would carry the reigns
when it was time. My mother was a trained sitar player and by that I was inspired to learn
how to play the tabla. I also trained my vocal chords and learned the nuances of professional
singing. Singing pacifies the soul and if I did not belong to the fashion industry, I would be
crooning away to glory on stage. In fact, I also thought cricket was something I could be
interested in, when I played for the Delhi Under 19 team.
Yes, life indeed has different plans for all of us, post-college I decided to fuel my passion for
modelling by moving to Mumbai. The city was kind and soon I was lapped up by prominent
brands such as Allen Solly, Hyundai Santro, Modi Xerox, Dabur and featured in more than
500 print ads. Over the three years in Mumbai I also walked the ramp alongside some of the
country’s leading models for a number of fashion houses.
After three years of facing the camera, I decided it was time to return to Delhi and start
something I could call my own and that is when RJ's Models saw the light of day. With
passion, dedication and determination, a dream saw fruition and today we can proudly say
that we have worked with popular faces like Neha Dhupia. Urvashi Sharma (Naqaab fame) and Sakshi
Gulati (Ponds TVC fame).
Facing the camera made me fall in love with the camera and I trained to become a
professional photographer. The photography portfolio is indeed impressive as we have managed international shoots in locations like Australia, South East Asia with some of the leading international brands like Ponds, Pepsodent, Mountain Dew, Warid Telecom (UAE)
and Vim just to name a few.
I love the industry, it has simply been very kind and my passion for excellence and
dedication to provide aspiring models with a platform to express themselves and carve a
niche for in the advertising, fashion and film industry keeps the fire in my belly alive. Our
aim at RJ's models is a culmination of the experiences I have gathered along the way. The
services cater to creating well rounded professional models who are able to face the
challenges that this demanding industry presents. |
